LINKS LS Tuned involves the modification of a vehicle’s engine power and driving performance.
ECU Tuning involves the modification of the engine control unit (ECU) of a car. This is an intelligent computer that can be remapped to deliver new information to an automobile in terms of boost, fuel injection, rev. limit and ignition timing and etc. Adjustments made to the ECU will in turn affect the performance of the car.
Performance tuning very often helps cars achieving and unleashing the optimal performance potential with the vehicle for increased horsepower, faster transmission response time, improved fuel economy and superb handling. This, however, depends on various factors like driving habits and style.

LINKS has 32 years of experience in tuning and performance upgrading for vehicles. We have been developing multiple ECU maps over the last 20 years and they are some of the very best available in the world today. Did you know that we have a full professional team of car engineers who ensure that your car is ready to be tuned, as well as run extensive testing after tuning to verify the health and performance of your vehicle. At LINKS you may rest assured that your vehicle is in good hands!
LINKS provides custom ECU tuning for your car to be enhanced in many ways such as fuel economy, horsepower, torque, gear shifts, speed and boost, will be at their safest optimal levels.
LINKS enhances and optimises the power of the engine within safe limits, not beyond them that would cause damage to vehicle. Extra power will also result in fewer gear changes. Manufacturers have to build in a tolerance for the parts in the engine, to manage the effect of wear and tear, production variations, and to ensure their warranty claims during their warranty period normally 3 – 5 years, are kept to a minimum.
Most race and rally engines are pushed for every last bhp, and thus they more common to fail, whilst normal car/van/lorry engines are limited back, well away from probability of multiple failures. Each individual engine is different as in how much it can be pushed in a remap, but a good ecu remap from a quality ecu tuner will never get close the limits of component failure.
You will see that the top companies within the market place have all develop vehicle improvements to similar outputs. Beware of tuners who claim significantly more, it’s either lies hoping that the average customer wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, or the engine is being pushed too hard and will quickly become unreliable.
It is completely safe if not detected by the manufacturer and for your peace of mind, all of our LINKS LS Maps are
reversible anytime you wish to bring your car for inspection or dealer servicing and warranty claims.

With the extra horsepower gained, if you continue to drive the car in the same way as you did before the upgrade, your fuel consumption will most probably improved. Optimizing our drag & time attack map, however, you will be driving under race conditions and most likely will find a slightly reduced fuel consumption.
* all depends on driving style and habits.
In most cases, the economy tune actually helps to extend the life of engine parts such as the gearbox, throttle body and clutch, by making the delivery of the power far less aggressive and smoothing the overall drive of the vehicle. Unfortunately, some engines can be over tuned, “stressing” the engine, transmission, cooling systems, etc, and reducing the life span and reliability of the car.
Our emphasis is also on longevity, by ensuring that all of our modifications have no detrimental effect on your car. Providing power is never an issue – it’s the balance of power and reliability that sets us apart.
Nothing beats a good custom ECU remap for your vehicle. While most cars currently have protocols which allow us to read and write maps, the next best thing are ECU tuning boxes, which can offer slight increases in power. They operate by merely adjusting a specified signal within the ECU by a set tolerance.
